Signing a contract to allocate land for an integrated urban medical and educational project in Shorouk City with investments of $300 million
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, witnessed the signing ceremony of a contract between the New Urban Communities Authority and NHMC Medical Services (Egypt), a subsidiary of the English company NHMC. To allocate land to establish an integrated urban medical and educational project in Shorouk City, in the presence of Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.
On the sidelines of the signing, Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, said that according to the signed contract, a plot of land will be allocated; To establish an integrated medical and educational urban project, at a rate of 65% to establish an urban activity and 35% to establish a medical educational activity, on the Cairo-Suez Road in Shorouk City. He indicated that the price of the land will be paid with transfers from abroad in US dollars, or any other foreign currency that is included in the foreign currencies. Listed in the official price list of the Central Bank of Egypt.
Meanwhile, Dr. Nasser Michel Fouad, Royal Representative of the English county of Cheshire and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NHMC Group of English and Egyptian Medical Services, said that the integrated urban project is scheduled to have an area of 47 acres, representing 65% of the total land of the project, while The Elysium Medical Educational City project will be built on an area of 25 acres, 35% of the total project land, adding that the size of the entire project’s investments amounts to 300 million US dollars. He explained that the project includes the establishment of the first English “medicine, nursing, and physical therapy” colleges in the Middle East. And Africa, in partnership with the University of Buckingham, and the first teaching and private hospital affiliated with the University of Buckingham in the Middle East and Africa.
He also pointed out that the project includes the establishment of a hospital that cooperates with the international company “Johnson & Johnson” and the world’s leading surgeons in performing delicate surgeries on the face, jaw, and knee, as well as establishing a specialized medical area for elderly care with a capacity of 76 rooms. The project also includes a sports academy. Under medical supervision for people with special needs, an international English school, and an integrated urban area that includes villas, residential apartments, hotel apartments, administrative buildings for medical specialties, commercial malls, and more than 2,000 job opportunities in the various components of the project.
